CHILD - Centre
for Household, Income, Labour and Demographic Economics
The
Centre was constituted under the auspices of the European Society
of Population Economics (ESPE). Among its objectives:
- promote
the collaboration of researchers in the field of population and
household economics with a particular interest to the relationships
between households, within households and between the family and
the state;
- coordinate
the acquisition of bibliographic resources and information concerning
the economics of the family and demographic economics;
- organize
lectures, workshops and courses of specialization, in order to promote
research and policy analyses in the field.

Cirpet
is a Research Center on Emerging, Transition and Developing
Countries,
founded by the Departments of Economics, Social Sciences and Political
Studies of Turin University. Cirpet carries out economic and social
research on these countries. Cirpet studies are not only academic,
but aim also at promoting economic cooperation between Italy, mainly
Piedmont, and emerging countries.

CESMEP - Centro di studi sulla
storia e i metodi dell'economia politica "Claudio Napoleoni"
The Centre
promotes research concerned with the history of political economy
as well as the methods and analytical tools used in the economic discipline
all along its historical development. It aims at facilitating the
debate and the spreading of ideas among economists, historians of
economic thought, and scholars of other disciplines with an interest
in this field of study, and to build a network between the Centre
and other research centres working in the field of the history of
polital economy. It organises meeetings, workshops and conferences,
with the collaboration of other public and private institutions, and
publishes a working paper series.

di Ricerche Interdisciplinari sulla Sostenibilita'
IRIS
in an interdipartmental research centre created by the Dipartimento
di Biologia Animale e dell'Uomo and the Dipartimento di Economia
"S. Cognetti de Martiis" of the University of Turin. Its
objective is the development of interdisciplinary conceptual tools
for the study of sustainability and environmental policies. Its
research activities are based on joint work by biologists and natural
scientists, economists, physicists, sociologists, and experts of
teaching methods in the life sciences.

& BRICK - Laboratorio di economia dell'innovazione "Franco Momigliano", Bureau of Research in Innovation, Complexity and Knowledge, Collegio Carlo Alberto
The Laboratorio
specializes in the economics of the generation, introduction,
imitation, adaptation, transfer and diffusion of new technological
knowledge,
innovations and technological change. The research work focuses on
the analysis of both the determinants and the effects of technological
change in firms, regions, industries and countries. The economic aspects
of knowledge and research are also considered with respect to institutions
such as universities, intellectual property rights and public research
centers. The Laboratorio hosts the editorial offices of the international
journal 'Economics of Innovation and New Technology'.

Riccardo Revelli - Centre for Employment Studies
The LABORatorio
R. Revelli, Centre for Employment Studies is a research institute
of CORIPE Piemonte, associated
to the University of Torino, and
funded by the Compagnia
di San Paolo. It operates in strict collaboration with the Department
of Economics "Cognetti de Martiis".
The mission of the LABORatorio is threefold:
(i) pursuing research in labor-related areas and on the operations
of the Italian and European labour markets;
(ii) evaluating the policy options aimed at dealing with the employment
problem of the European Union;
(iii) developing data-bases for the study of Italy's labor market
and pension system, and making them available to other research
institutions.
The LABORatorio R.Revelli, directed by Bruno Contini, is located in
Moncalieri, at the outskirts of Torino, at the Collegio Carlo Alberto
that hosts also CORIPE Piemonte
(Consorzio per la Ricerca e la Formazione Permanente in Economia)
and CeRP, (Centre for Research
on Pensions and Welfare Policies).
