Master of Science in Economics, CORIPE

The Master programme aims at supplying its graduates with an excellent working knowledge of  the analytic tools and advanced methodologies required for the analysis of current issues in economics. Students acquire the necessary skills for carrying out analysis of  concrete economic problems using statistical and econometric tools. Detailed study and practical experience help students to develop a capacity for evaluation and creation of proposals, writing reports and performing other tasks specific to their profession.

The underlying principle of  this Master Programme is to prepare financial economists with a deep and broad competence. Quantitative subjects such as mathematics, statistics and econometrics supply the methodological skills for the study of  the technical elements of financial issues. The course design includes a broad range of  topics within three main subject areas (finance, quantitative methods and econometrics), thus making the specifically financial content of the programme applicable to a variety of situations: pricing stocks and bonds, use of derivatives, asset and liability management, corporate finance and operational aspects.
